Teresa joined Flaherty McCarthy LLP after completing her articles at the Firm, and Call to the Bar in 2023. Teresa has gained experience working on insurance defence matters, before the Licence Appeal Tribunal, Small Claims Court and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Teresa’s civil litigation practice is mainly comprised of the defence of motor vehicle accident tort and statutory accident benefit claims.

Teresa completed her J.D at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she had the opportunity to intern at the LSO – Professional Regulation, place as a Semi-Finalist for Dentons Negotiation Competition, and serve as the Executive chair for Pro Bono Students Canada, in addition to holding other executive positions throughout her academic career. She also worked as a Student Case Worker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, where she developed her advocacy skills, providing legal services to low-income individuals.

She received her undergraduate degree at York University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Gina Feldberg Prize for the highest-grade point average in the Health & Society major and the Ellen Baar Award for the highest academic average in the Department of Social Science. At York, Teresa was part of the Dean’s Circle of Student Scholars (2017-2019). She also served as President of Hanvoice York Chapter and President and Founder of Coalition for Income Security.

When not at work, she enjoys travelling worldwide and spending time with her three cats: Lillianna-Angelique, Dr. Bear, and Counsel.
